This is an extremely rare case, and will happen in about every 100 - 250 games, seeing as about only one or two random ships are picked from the Sporepedia and are shown in-game only once or twice. It is possible for the same ships to be picked again, in different or even the same games. You're as lucky as a living statue if you see a Grox ship.
