Lycoming Service Instruction No. 1042

These little tubes that spit all over the bottom of a nice fabric job, should they be pointed a little upstream where they exit the engine? or all downstream? Some say moisture wont exit if a little upstream but will slober less and some say moisture exits easier but slobers more if all downstream. And should the tube exit be flush with the bottom of the cowl or a little up in the cowl or a little below. And how should the end or exit be cut, square on the bottom, or angled with the opening to the front or angled with the opening to the back? Looking for some ideas on what seems to work. Whats cubcrafters doing on the sport and top cub? thanks guys. doug
